Spiny Eel (Macrognathus siamensis)

An intriguing and characterful bottom-dweller, the Spiny Eel has an elongated, snake-like body and a pointed snout that it uses to probe the substrate for food. Mostly active at dusk, this shy fish loves to burrow in soft sand and explore every corner of the aquarium.
