Found in slow-moving waters of Southeast Asia; slim, surface-dwelling fish with elongated lower jaw and silvery, streamlined body.

• Hardness: moderate–hard

• Water change: 25–40% weekly

Temperament & Schooling

• Semi-peaceful

• Keep groups of 5–6+ (males can spar)

• Surface swimmer

Diet

• Carnivore: small insects, frozen/live foods

• Will take quality floating pellets

• Feed 1–2× daily

• Long tank with open surface area

• Floating plants
