Hoplo Catfish (Hoplosternum litorale)

A hardy, armoured South American catfish known for its ability to breathe atmospheric air using a modified intestine, allowing it to tolerate a wide range of water conditions. Active and inquisitive, the Hoplo is a peaceful scavenger that constantly patrols the substrate, making it a useful and characterful addition to community aquariums.
