Hillstream Loach (Sewellia lineolata)

A fascinating, disc-shaped loach adapted to fast-flowing, oxygen-rich streams, the Hillstream Loach (also known as the Reticulated Hillstream Loach) clings to rocks and glass with its specialised fins. With its striking reticulated pattern and constant algae-grazing, it's both beautiful and practical for high-flow tanks.

• Minimum Tank Size: 75L with strong flow, smooth river stones, and sand
• Temperature: 20–25°C (needs cool, oxygen-rich water)
• pH Range: 6.5–7.5
• Water Hardness: Soft to moderate
• Temperament: Peaceful, bottom-dwelling, can be territorial with own kind
• Diet: Algae wafers, blanched zucchini and cucumber, frozen bloodworms

Tank Mates: Other hillstream species, White Cloud Mountain Minnows, small rasboras; avoid warm-water or slow-moving species.
