Electric Yellow Mbuna Cichlid (Labidochromis caeruleus)

One of the most recognisable Malawi cichlids, the Electric Yellow Mbuna is loved for its brilliant yellow body, contrasting dark fin markings and relatively peaceful nature compared with many other Mbuna. Hardy and active, it is a popular choice for a well-planned African cichlid aquarium.

Tank Mates: Other similarly sized and tempered Lake Malawi cichlids, including compatible Mbuna and Peacock Cichlids. Avoid very aggressive species and small peaceful community fish.

Origin: Lake Malawi, East Africa. The yellow colour form of Labidochromis caeruleus is naturally associated with the rocky habitats of the lake and is one of the most popular Mbuna in the aquarium hobby.
