Rosy Barb (Pethia conchonius)
The Rosy Barb is a vibrant and active freshwater fish native to streams and rivers in South and Southeast Asia, particularly India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Males display a bright rosy-pink to red body, especially during breeding, while females are paler. Known for their hardy nature and peaceful temperament, Rosy Barbs are excellent for community aquariums, especially cooler or unheated setups, where they bring color and lively movement.
