Care Description

Golden Bee Shrimp are a selectively bred Caridina shrimp prized for their vibrant golden-yellow coloration. They are moderately sensitive and require stable, soft, slightly acidic water to thrive and maintain their bright color. Peaceful and active, they are ideal for planted aquariums with moss, rocks, and plenty of hiding spots. Their diet includes biofilm, algae, and high-quality shrimp foods.

• pH: 6.0–7.2

• Hardness: 4–6 dGH (soft water preferred)

• Tank Size: Minimum 20–30 L for a small colony

• Behavior: Peaceful; best kept in groups of 6 or more

• Diet: Omnivore — biofilm, algae, shrimp pellets, blanched vegetables

• Tank Setup: Planted tank with moss, rocks, and hiding spots; gentle filtration; stable water parameters

• Breeding: Moderate breeder; females carry eggs under tails; fry are delicate and require pristine water
