Fantail Goldfish (Carassius auratus)
A beautiful fancy goldfish variety recognised for its rounded body, flowing double tail and graceful swimming style. Fantails are hardy, personable fish that can make a wonderful addition to a spacious coldwater aquarium, provided they have excellent filtration, good water quality and plenty of room to grow.

Tank Mates: Other fancy goldfish of a similar size and swimming ability. Avoid tropical fish, fin-nipping species and very fast-moving goldfish varieties that may outcompete Fantails for food.
Origin: Fantail Goldfish are a selectively bred variety of Carassius auratus, originally descended from wild carp species in East Asia. They are captive-bred for their distinctive rounded body shape and flowing double tail.
