Eruption Discus (Symphysodon discus)

A selectively bred variant of the wild discus, the Eruption is prized for its bold, fiery red-orange body erupting with intricate white and turquoise striations across the face and fins, and a rounded, regal profile. This peaceful, intelligent cichlid is a true centrepiece fish, best displayed in a dedicated species tank with soft, warm, pristine water and a calm environment.

Tank Mates: Other discus, peaceful tetras (cardinal, rummy-nose), corydoras, and ram cichlids. Best kept in groups of 5+ for natural behaviour and reduced stress.
