Common Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus sp.)

A hardy, hard-working algae-eater and one of the most popular plecos in the hobby, staying a manageable size that suits most community aquariums. Males develop distinctive bristle-covered snouts as they mature, giving this fish its name and plenty of character while it quietly keeps driftwood, glass, and décor free of algae.
