Cherry Barb (Puntius titteya)
Origin & Appearance
The Cherry Barb is a small, peaceful freshwater fish native to Sri Lanka, particularly slow-moving, shaded streams. Males display a bright red to cherry-colored body when in breeding condition, while females are paler with a pinkish hue. Their calm nature, small size, and attractive coloration make them ideal for community aquariums.
