Amano Shrimp
Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata)
Care Description
Amano Shrimp are a hardy freshwater shrimp species widely used for algae control in aquariums. They are transparent to light brown in color with small spots along their sides and grow larger than most dwarf shrimp, reaching up to 5 cm. They are peaceful, active, and thrive in community tanks with fish and plants, as long as there are no aggressive tankmates. Amano Shrimp are omnivores and excellent scavengers.
